In March of 1994, I was studying Jeremiah in my Ryrie NASB and began to see many parallels to God's judgment upon Judah to what is occurring in our nation for like Judah and Israel, we have become a defiant and rebellious people who have lost our way and our spiritual compass.
I have never written specificially about what I was shown from that study, but may write a series of articles on it after the first of the new year.
Jude 7 says the judgment of God upon the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah are set forth as an example to modern times of God's judgment upon nations and cities that become defiled and perverted. The United States leads the world in perversion and the production of porn. Are we so naive and spiritually blind that we cannot see the hand of God upon this nation in judgment even though the judgment is not yet severe. God's judgments are His mercy to bring sinful people and nations to repentance. However, if like Judah and Israel there is no repentance, then God's severe judgment will fall.
America is so close to the severe judgment of God that I hear the sounds of crying and mourning in the streets among those who realize the judgment is from God as well as sounds of defiance and cursing among those who hate God.
The United States of America had better wake up and repent sooner than later or we have no future but judgment and hard times. Everyone will suffer including Christians because we have turned our heads away from and stopped our ears at the gutter filth that dominates this once God-seeking nation.
