Heb 10:26-31 NKJV
26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. And again, "The LORD will judge His people." 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Matthew 19:3-6 NKJV
3 The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to
Him, "Is
it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?" 4
And He
answered and said to them, "Have
you
not read that He who made them
at the beginning 'made them male and female,' 5 and said, 'For
this reason
a man shall leave his father and mother
and
be joined to his
wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? 6
So then, they
are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined
together, let not man separate."
I often hear liberal theologians (Those who have no regard for the literal grammatical interpretation of the Sacred Scriptures) deny that Jesus said anything about homosexuality. That is nonsense and a lie.
In the above passage from Matthew 19, Jesus had a discussion with the religious Pharisees about marriage and divorce. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that He was affirming heterosexual marriage even though spoken in the context of divorce. By saying that from the beginning, God made male and female to have a sexual union or marriage, not two men or two women, is the same as saying homosexual unions are unlawful, unholy, and not of God's doing nor His will. To deny this plain truth is to call God a liar when He clearly said marriage is for a man and woman.
Jesus did not recognize homosexual marriage nor has He ever changed his mind that homosexuality is a grave sin!
Telling homosexuals the truth – that their lifestyle is wicked, immoral and an abomination to God is true love, not trying to placate them.
The Holy Spirit has something to say to all those who support homosexual unions (I refuse to call them marriages) and who attempt to impose hate crimes against Christians such as the recent hate crimes bill sponsored by House democrats John Conyers of Michigan and Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas. Thank God it was defeated (If Obama is elected president, it will surface again and probably pass):
Romans 1:28-32 NKJV
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
This passage, hated by all liberal theologians and politicians, as well as homosexuals, succinctly tells us why they deny the truths of Scripture - they do not like to retain God in their knowledge; however, by approving of sinful lifestyles such as homosexual unions, they will come under the righteous judgment of God.
I warn those who foolishly reject God’s decree against all wickedness that this nation is hanging by a thin string and is very near the direct judgment of God. When this nation begins to isolate, persecute and imprison Christians, as Canada has done, for standing with the Word of God, watch the severe judgment of God fall upon this nation.
In 37 years as a Christian minister, pastor, Bible teacher and recently a seminary instructor, I say again that this nation is treading on dangerous grounds. God is not going to tolerate laws to silence the truth and imprison His people! Jesus prophesied in Matthew 24:9-10, that in the end time the world will imprison and kill His disciples – the true Church, not the ecclesiastical liturgical monstrosity that pretends to be a Church, but it will not do so without judgment.
As for me personally, I fear no man and will continue to preach and teach the truth that homosexuality is a sin, but that a loving God has made a way for homosexuals to have a better life - faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin and right standing with God.
The gospel is the power of God unto salvation to change sinners into loving responsible and holy people. I have witnessed the power of God change drug addicts, alcoholics, adulterers, fornicators, homosexuals, child molesters, etc. into holy and righteous people. I once stood on a table in an inmate pod housing homosexual men and preached the truth to them in bold terms. I observed the power of the Holy Spirit convict and bring many of them to repentance and faith. Several told me that wanted to change, but didn't know how until I shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with them. One thing about prison ministry, you had better be genuine for inmates can spot a phony a mile away. In addition, the syrupy benign feel good message won't cut it in prison. It takes bold truth to reach hardened criminals. I tell you this, that when an inmate does become a true believer in Jesus Christ, they are as real as the sunlight of day and would put most professing Christians to shame in the so-called "real world!"
Ask any former homosexual changed by the power of God and now living a normal heterosexual life, whether married or single, how Christ Jesus changed their lives, and they will tell you how much better and fulfilling their new life in Christ is than their old life of perversion.
If Christian’s are silenced from speaking out against homosexuality, then homosexuals will be prohibited from hearing the truth of how the power of God can change their lives. In fact, those who support the gay and lesbian agenda are helping to send homosexuals to a devil's hell and their blood will be on their hand in the day of judgment.
The Lord Jesus Christ was not silent about homosexual marriage, but repudiated it in His teaching on marriage and divorce.
