The Sin Of Adultery
Dr. Allen Barber
June 7, 2010

24 So listen to Me my sons, and pay attention to my words.
25 Don't let your hearts stray toward her. Don't wander down her wayward path.
26 For she has been the ruin of many; many men have been her victims.
27 Her house is the road to the grave. Her bedroom is the den of death.

Proverbs 7: 24-27 NLT

Proverbs 7 is about the consequences of the sin of adultery in the physical sense. Adultery leads to material ruin, poor health and eventually to judgment and hell.

In the spiritual sense, idolatry is spiritual adultery, which is worshiping or uniting one's soul and spirit to a false god. The false gods of this world, which are plethora, will end up as part of the end-time Harlot of Revelation 17. God uses the 10-horn New World Order to destroy this false religions system.  True Christians should have nothing to with false religion, not even placate it as some so-called Christian leaders are doing in regard to Islam. Islam is false devilish religion and the product of a false prophet who admitted he received his revelations from a demonic spirit. Satan has greatly used this religion to oppose Christianity and Western free society nations.

While the United States has a large Christian population (I don't think it is as large as some think, that is, true Spirit-born Christians; there are many denominational and non-denominational professing Christians who are more loyal to their organization than the Word of God), adultery is rampant inundating the government, society and religion.   The movies at the theaters and on TV are filled with almost totally nude adulterous scenes and Christians should stay away from such for why would we want to take the Holy Spirit who indwells us to gaze at such filth and thereby defile our spirits?

There are many reasons God is judging this nation (have you noticed that since we are a nation of Gaia worshipers, we seem to be having more and more problems with the environment - I don't  have time to name them all they are so many) and one of them is our love affair with adultery.  There is nothing wrong with sex in marriage between a husband (male) and a wife (female), but adultery is forbidden. It is as if adultery has been stricken from the 10 Commandments. Instead of "Thou shall not commit adultery, it has become, "Thou shall have as many sexual relations as desired for there is no God and no day of judgment." Oh, yes there is and that day is coming for every person born on this planet since Adam and Eve. You can take that to the bank.

The rich man thought he could live it up and enjoy his wealth while alive, but when he died, Jesus said (notice who said it), "In hell he lifted-up his eyes and being in torment (the Greek says constant torment), he cried out for Abraham to come and dip just a little drop of water on his parched tongue."  The God-haters and many religionists say there is no hell and no torment in the hereafter - that when sinners die they are destroyed like an animal and their life and memory is no more - they cease to exist. Well, who are you going to believe, the unbelievers or the words of our Lord Jesus? I choose to believe Jesus.  This is one reason we see so much blatant in your face sin (perverse acts, public nudity, foul language, adultery sold like a commodity by the film producers and marketing pros, etc.) - NO FEAR OF THE JUDGMENT OF GOD!

God told Jeremiah the House of Judah did not know how to blush anymore because they were so sin hardened.  Modern anemic wimpy preachers and pastors do not preach against adultery knowing that it might upset the people, and in addition, many of them are lying on the bed of adultery. John the Baptist was beheaded because he dared tell King Herod that he was living in adultery by taking his brother's wife. One cult preacher here in Plano told his congregation that God told him he could have the wife of one of his members. He then boldly and arrogantly pursued her from the pulpit and on his website. The man and his wife had to move to keep her away from this wicked preacher. Our land is filled with adultery and so are our churches.

Will God remain silent in heaven as though he does not care about what we do as a nation and people? No, His eye has missed nothing and though He is long-suffering, His patience will one day end and judgment will fall upon America like a sledge hammer, then there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when our nation falls and nothing is left but the ashes of a once great nation that acknowledged the God of the Bible and lived by His laws.
