To All The Saints, Be On The
Alert For Great Deception and Apostasy Are Coming!
Dr. Allen M. Barber
Deception
Matt. 24:5-6
5 For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will
deceive many.
Matt. 24:10-11
10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will
hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and
deceive many.
Matt. 24:23-25
23 "Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or
'There!' do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets
will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive , if possible,
even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand.
Rom. 16:18
18 For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but
their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive
the hearts of the simple
1 Cor. 3:18-19
18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise
in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. 19 For
the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.
Eph. 5:6-7
6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these
things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7
Therefore do not be partakers with them.
Col. 2:4-10
4 Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive
words. 5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in
spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of
your faith in Christ. 6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus
the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and
established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it
with thanksgiving. 8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy
and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to
the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9
For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you
are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
2 Thess. 2:1-4
1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and
our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken
in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if
from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive
you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away
comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4
who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that
is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing
himself that he is God.
1 John 2:26-27
26 These things I have written to you concerning those who try to
deceive you. 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him
abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the
same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and
is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
1 John 3:7-9
7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices
righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who sins
is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For
this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy
the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin,
for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been
born of God.
Apostasy - Departure From the Truth
2 Thess.
Rom. 1:18-32
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in
unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in
them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the
world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by
the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so
that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God,
they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became
futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22
Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory
of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man —
and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. 24 Therefore
God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts,
to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the
truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature
rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 For this
reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women
exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise
also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their
lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and
receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God
gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not
fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual
immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy,
murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30
backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of
evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy,
unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous
judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving
of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who
practice them.
1 Cor. 5:9-13
9 I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually
immoral people. 10 Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually
immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners,
or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. 11
But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named
a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or
a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner — not even to eat with
such a person. 12 For what have I to do with judging those also who
are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13 But those who
are outside God judges. Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil
person."
Note: This passage is an indictment
on the so-called homosexual Church nor are we to allow practicing
homosexuals in the Body of Christ!
1 Cor. 13:4-6
4 Love... 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
2 Cor. 4:1-2
1 Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy,
we do not lose heart. 2 But we have renounced the hidden things of
shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God
deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves
to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
Gal. 3:1-4
1 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not
obey the truth , before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly
portrayed among you as crucified? 2 This only I want to learn from
you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the
hearing of faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit,
are you now being made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have you suffered so
many things in vain — if indeed it was in vain?
Note: Paul was warning the
Jewish Christians not to return back to Judaism - something that
needs to be trumpted today as an increasing number of Christians
think they need to add Judaism to the faith to be more complete in
Christ. That is utter folly and deception!
Gal. 4:16
16 Have I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth?
Gal. 5:7-10
7 You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? 8 This
persuasion does not come from Him who calls you. 9 A little leaven
leavens the whole lump. 10 I have confidence in you, in the Lord,
that you will have no other mind; but he who troubles you shall bear
his judgment, whoever he is.
1 Tim. 6:3-5
3 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome
words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine
which accords with godliness, 4 he is proud, knowing nothing, but is
obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come
envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, 5 useless wranglings of men
of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth , who suppose that
godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.
2 Tim. 3:1-9
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2
For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters,
proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3
unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal,
despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of
pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but
denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this
sort are those who creep into households and make captives of
gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7
always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth
. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also
resist the truth : men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the
faith; 9 but they will progress no further, for their folly will be
manifest to all, as theirs also was.
2 Tim. 4:1-5
1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who
will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:
2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince,
rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time
will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to
their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up
for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from
the truth , and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in
all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist,
fulfill your ministry.
Titus 1:13-16
13 Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the
faith, 14 not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men
who turn from the truth . 15 To the pure all things are pure, but to
those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even
their mind and conscience are defiled. 16 They profess to know God,
but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and
disqualified for every good work.
Note: This passage is a New
Covenant warning against modern day Zionism with its hellish
Kabbalistic Talmudic doctrine, which is the foundation of
Freemasonry/ Illuminati and its many secret societies.
Heb. 10:26-31
26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of
the truth , there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a
certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which
will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses' law
dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of
how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy
who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the
covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the
Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine, I
will repay," says the Lord. And again, "The LORD will judge His
people." 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the
living God.
Note: Paul (I believe Paul wrote
Hebrews) again warns the Jewish Christians against apostasy -
turning from the truth in Christ Jesus to go back to embracing
Judaism.
2 Peter 2:1-3
1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there
will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in
destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and
bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their
destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be
blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive
words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their
destruction does not slumber.
Note: Peter was referring
explicitly to the Judaizers who were trying to persuade Christians
to add the Law to their faith. While we need to study the Law for
proper instruction in righteousness (grace is not fully understood
apart from the Law) and for its prophetic insights such as the
Feast Days, we are not to keep it as a necessary doctrine for New
Covenant faith. Grace completes the Law not vice-versa.
